Hello, my name is Cathy Hawk and I love to travel.  I spent many hours when I was young at the airport either dropping my Dad off or picking him up but also we traveled to visit family all over the world. My Grandparents lived in Greece and Englan...

The grounds of Moon Palace Nizuc

I have been lucky enough to have been going to The Moon Palace Resorts in Cancun since 2019.  I have been 3 times and will continue going back.  It is a wonderful resort to truely unplug and unwind from real life. The Moon Palace Grand, Sunrise and Nizuc are all next to each other. If you stay at The Grand there is a full water park, arcade and indoor mini golf. You have full use of all 3 resorts. If you stay at either of the others 2 there are flowrider wavve pools and outdoor mini golf and you can use both resorts and buy a day pass to The Grand if you want.

In 2019, and 2021 I stayed at Moon Palace Nizuc.  I had a Superior Ocean view room and can honestly say it is one of the nicest resort rooms I have ever been in.  The room is spacious, clean with an amazing ocean front view.  The king size bed is comfortable and perfectly placed in the room to enjoy the views. There is a large Jacuzzi tub in the center of the room which actually came in handy when my husband hurt his back golfing and he could fully submerge in an ice bath for relief.  The bathroom was large and separated so if one person was showering one could be using the sink.  They supply comfy robes a nice hemp beach bag to take to the pool, a Chi flat iron and blow dryer.

There is a fully stocked liquor cabinet and fridge. We received macaroons and chocolates each night.  There was a nice fruit plate the day we arrived and you can request a bottle of wine to be brought to the room at no additional cost.

The restaurants on property are fantastic!! We loved los Caparales for breakfast every day and their dinners were awesome as well, including the table side Mexican coffee experience and bananas foster. Between all three resorts I have eaten at most of the restaurants and have no complaints about any. Some you need reservations but the app is very easy to use and I have never had an issue getting into where we want to eat.

If you are visiting during an event like the Super Bowl they go above and beyond to make it an all around fun night with Hors d'oeuvres and out door video screen to watch the big game.

The properties themselves are beautiful!  The grounds are private (including the beach) safe, lush and wonderfully maintained. there are chapels for worship services and there seems to always be a wedding going on. The pools are enormous and there are lots of quiet areas, swim up bars and areas where the staff is always playing some kind of game.

In the evenings there is live entertainment and each resort has a night club and bars where there is always something going on.  I did tour The Grand and they even have a secret Speakeasy if you know where to find it!

The Spas are wonderful with lots of treatment options available and the golfing is great on the Jack Nicholas course where you can bring your own clubs or rent them for a fee. The resorts offer a free shared transfer from the airport which is only a 15 drive away.  you can upgrade to private if you prefer.  There is very little bad I can say about Moon Palace and I love sending clients there.
